Drawing Cross Section Templates In Land Desktop by Rick Ellis

You may have run across a problem from time to time in Land Desktop where the Draw Template command doesn’t seem to work correctly.  It might draw lines at an incorrect slope, draw lines on top of themselves, or not seem to draw some line segments at all.  This problem has several variables so it might seem as though it is intermittent.  The solution is to turn off your running object snaps.  Even though you will not see the typical object snap tool tip on the screen, if your cursor is near any geometry when you try to draw a line in the Draw Template command it will try to snap to it.  So as a general rule of thumb, before you start the draw template command, be sure to turn off your running OSNAPS.
